Middlesex County Buildings, London, Ontario

This building is now the Middlesex County Building, housing the administrative offices for the county of Middlesex, Ontario. It was originally built around 1827-29 as the county courthouse, and later had a county jail attached to the back of it. The building uses a style patterned after the ancestral home of Colonel Talbot, who was responsible for much of the initial setup of Middlesex County and surrounding areas.
The buildings are located on the edge of the downtown core of London, overlooking the forks of the Thames River.
