We took a trip to Goderich, on the shores of Lake Huron, this afternoon and while we were there, I rode one of the multi-use trails that runs out of the town. The trail that I took used to be the rail line (the tracks have since been removed) and starts at the once-proud, but now somewhat neglected, train station, situated at the bottom of the hill at the Goderich harbour. The Canadian Pacific Railway used to operate the trains and the station, from which passengers could transfer to a boat for a trip across Lake Huron. This picture shows a portion of one side of the station building.
