Ok - one final picture from the trail - this one of the end of the trail at Goderich station, adjacent to the harbour and the lake. The station sits on its own near the beach and as far as I know, is not used for anything any longer. According to Richard Brown's book on abandoned railways of Ontario, this is the largest of the so-called "witch's hat" style of station popularized by the Canadian Pacific Railway, and was the only one in Ontario made of brick. In its day, it was probably an impressive sight, set against the backdrop of the blue waters of Lake Huron.
